The Condemned Orillia Building, Robson & Seymour, 1985 (Limited Edition Print)

Regular price $79.95

The Orillia was Vancouver's first "mixed use" apartment development, built in 1903 by Parr & Fee, the same firm that designed the Manhattan Apartments, further up the street.

As can be seen by the entreaty scrawled on the wall, many Vancouver citizens were appalled to see this grand old building demolished rather than restored. The bulldozers moved in just months after I made this photograph, on a wet and wintry day.

All limited edition prints printed on acid-free 100% rag paper, using pigment inks. Delivered prints do not include watermark seen here. Prints are embossed on border, outside the image area.
